MLS works entirely in your browser and does not require installation. This saves you storage space and updates. You can create an icon shortcut on your home screen, making MLS feel almost like an app!

โ€‹

It depends on whether you use Android (e.g. Samsung smartphones) or iOS (Apple).

๐Ÿ”ง Instructions: Create a shortcut on your smartphone or tablet

For Android (e.g. Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome on your smartphone and go to mls2.de (or the appropriate link if you are a student at Deutsche Bahn, Volkswagen, Airbus or Siemens Healthineers).

  2. Log in to MLS with your login details. This will save you having to re-enter your login details later.

  3. Once you have successfully logged in, tap on the three dots in the top right-hand corner.

  4. Select โ€˜Add to homeโ€™ or โ€˜Add to home screenโ€™

  5. Enter a name (โ€˜MLSโ€™)

  6. Tap on โ€˜Addโ€™

    • A pop-up window may appear: use โ€˜Add automaticallyโ€™ or โ€˜+ to home screenโ€™

  7. The icon will now appear on your home screen โ€“ done ๐Ÿš€

For iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open Safari and go to mls2.de (or the appropriate link if you are a student at Deutsche Bahn, Volkswagen, Airbus or Siemens Healthineers).

  2. Log in to MLS with your access data. This will save you from having to re-enter your access data later.

  3. Tap the share icon (square + arrow) at the bottom centre.

  4. Select โ€˜Add to Home Screenโ€™.

  5. Enter a name (e.g. โ€˜MLSโ€™).

  6. Tap โ€˜Addโ€™.

  7. You will now see an icon on your home screen โ€“ tap it to open MLS in your browser. ๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ

This is what it looks like on iOS:

๐Ÿ“ Advantages of the shortcut

  • Direct launch via your icon โ€“ no detour via the browser

  • No space required for app installation

  • Always up to date โ€“ no update necessary

  • Offline capability? Not directly โ€“ you need internet, but fast loading times thanks to browser data caching
