In MLS, tags (also known as keywords) are a helpful tool that you can use to give your learning tasks a clear structure. As a learning guide, you use tags to group, filter and find learning tasks more quickly.

Tags are particularly useful if you manage a large number of learning tasks or want to target specific topics.

🎯 What can I use tags for?

Tags help you and your colleagues to do this:

  • assign topics (e.g. ‘drilling’, “safety”, ‘CAD’)

  • identify levels of difficulty (e.g. ‘beginner’, ‘advanced’)

  • differentiate between task types (e.g. ‘theory’, “practice”, ‘reflection’)

  • Mark projects or time periods (e.g. ‘Project week’, ‘CW34’)

This allows you to quickly filter learning tasks (with ‘and/or option’) and make them available to your learners in a customised way.

🛠️ How do I assign and create tags?

You have two options for this.

1. directly when creating a learning task

In step 1 "General" for creating a learning task, click on "+ Optional". You can then either select one of the existing tags via "Free tags" or - if not yet available - create a new keyword directly.

2. via ‘Administration -> Tags’

You can also create or manage tags via Administration -> Tags.

To create a new tag, simply click on "+create".

To edit existing tags (e.g. change the description) or delete them, simply click on one.

✅ Advantages at a glance

  • Better overview: content is organised by topic

  • Quick access: Find suitable tasks in just a few clicks

  • Individualisation: Compile content specifically for certain learning levels or focal points
