In addition to creating learning tasks in MLS, you can also integrate so-called external content. This is digital content from partner companies with which the Nachwuchsstiftung Maschinenbau works together with MLS. To do this, you need licences, which you can assign to either individual users or groups. Here's how it works!

Assignment for individual users

1️⃣ Go to the Administration section

  • Log in to MLS.

  • Select ‘Administration’ from the menu on the right. Select ‘Users’.

2️⃣ Search for the user

  • If you have a large number of users, it is best to use the filter function in the top right-hand corner. There you can filter by name, email or role, among other things.

3️⃣ Assign external content

  • Select the user and click on ‘View’. You can assign the external content on the ‘Shared content’ tab. You can see how many licences are still available and assign a licence. A short pop-up window will appear asking if you really want to assign the licence.

Important: Once you have assigned a licence, you cannot undo it. The assignment is final.

4️⃣ Go to the provider overview and assign the content.

  • In the final step, go to the ‘Provider overview’ and activate the learning task or project for your learners. Your learners will find it under ‘My learning tasks’.

Assignment for groups

1️⃣ Go to the Administration section

  • Log in to MLS.

  • Select ‘Administration’ from the menu on the right. Select ‘Groups’.

2️⃣ Search for the group

  • If you have a lot of groups, it is best to use the title search in the top left corner.

3️⃣ Assign external content

  • By clicking on the respective group and selecting ‘Edit’, you can assign licences for external content to the group.

Important: Once you have assigned licences, you cannot undo it. The assignment is final.

4️⃣ Go to the provider overview and assign the content.

  • In the final step, go to the ‘Provider overview’ and activate the learning task or project for your learners. Your learners will find it under ‘My learning tasks’.
