In MLS, you mainly use forms to create your questions in the learning tasks. A form can contain any number of questions.

Here you can find out which additional settings you can make. You can find these by clicking on ‘+ Optional’

Important: If you select or deselect these options, they always apply to all the questions you have in the form. You can also switch these options on/off for each question.

  • is evaluated

This option is always on by default. You award a certain number of points per task (the default setting is always 10). After the assessment (either manually by you as the learning guide or automatically via MLS), the learners see these points.

  • Show solutions to the learner

You can provide a solution for the tasks. This is always helpful if you want learners to better understand what the correct solution is. The solution is always displayed after the learning task has been assessed - regardless of whether the learner has answered it correctly or incorrectly.

  • Shuffle mode

Shuffle means that tasks are drawn at random from a pool. You can specify how many tasks are taken. For example, if you have created 10 tasks, you can have 7 out of 10 drawn from them. Important: For this to work, the questions must not be marked as compulsory. Questions that are marked as mandatory are always taken into account when selecting from the pool! Shuffle mode is great if you want your learners to practise for a final exam, for example.

  • Mark questions as mandatory

This is the default setting and means that learners must always answer these questions. If you switch this off, questions can be skipped.

  • Take upper and lower case into account

For tasks where learners have to enter free text (e.g. cloze text, table), you can specify whether the text is case-sensitive. For example, ‘drehzahl’ as a term is assessed incorrectly if the option is on.
