📋 How to cancel a single task
Open the ‘Assigned Tasks’ section.
Find the relevant user/learning task combination.
Click ‘Complete’ next to the relevant task.
A pop-up window will open with further settings.
If you wish to cancel the task entirely, without it being taken into account for the learner’s overall result, deselect all of the following options:
👁️ Show the task to the learner
📊 Include the task in the learner’s file
👩🏫 Have the task assessed by a learning mentor (this toggle is not available if the task is in the ‘Ready for assessment’ status)
Then click ‘Complete’ to confirm the action.
💡 Important: If you disable all three options, the task will no longer be displayed to the learner, will not be included in the learner’s file, and will not be assessed by a learning mentor. Learning mentors can still find the task under the ‘Archive’ tab.
🗑️ Delete learning tasks that haven’t been started yet
If a learning task has already been assigned but hasn’t been started yet, you can delete it completely.
To do this, select the learning task under the ‘Not started’ tab by ticking the box on the left-hand side.
Above the learning task table, you will find the ‘Delete selection’ button. This function allows you to delete the selected learning task completely from the system.
⚠️ Important: Once a learning task has been started, it can no longer be deleted completely. In such cases, work has already been completed. The learning task can then only be cancelled using the function described above.
📁 Cancelling projects entirely
At present, there is no way to cancel an entire project in a single step. Depending on how tasks are assigned within the project, you will therefore need to follow different procedures.
🔄 All tasks are assigned simultaneously
If the project settings specify that all tasks in the project are assigned simultaneously, you must cancel each individual task in the project.
To do this, follow the steps described above and repeat the process for all assigned tasks. If there are several tasks to be cancelled in the same tab, you can select multiple tasks and complete them simultaneously using the ‘Finalise selection’ button.
➡️ Tasks are assigned one after the other
If the project is configured in the project settings so that tasks are assigned one after the other, you only need to cancel the task that is currently unlocked and assigned.
💡 No further automatic assignment will take place afterwards. A new task will only be automatically assigned once the currently assigned task has been completed and assessed. Cancelling the current task interrupts this process.
✅ In a nutshell
🛑 Individual tasks can be cancelled by clicking ‘Complete’.
⚙️ To cancel a task completely without it affecting the overall result, all three toggles must be deactivated.
📁 It is not currently possible to cancel an entire project with a single click.
🔄 If project tasks have been assigned simultaneously, all tasks must be cancelled individually.
➡️ For tasks assigned one after the other, it is sufficient to cancel the task that is currently active.
🚫 Once cancelled, no new task will be automatically assigned.
